steam tank arrived

My steam tank arrived today by post. This time I printed it in white detail material. Much, much better. Can't wait to get it painted. Hope you like it... (I do)
See the article below how I did it....

  1. Awesome. I love what you are doing with CAD. I had a lot of jewelry major friends in art school who would design cool stuff with that program. It's fun to see it used for our hobby. Was this tank your own design? Could you sell these things? It's a great little model.

  3. Andrew, yes it is my own design, offcourse heavely influenced by Games Workshop's steamtank. I could make it available to buy at the shapeways site (opening my own shop) but it is quite expensive at the moment (about $70 for the 3 parts). Maybe it can be made cheaper if I hollow out the model some more (less material). let me now if you are interested.

  4. That price would be prohibitive. Still, it's a super cool project. You should do dome 1/72 pulp steam tanks too!

  6. the price is a little bit stiff, but because it is my own design, and a little experiment I think it was worth it... (for me that is)...

  7. I have access to a 3-D printer. Do you think I could get a copy of those plans for the Steam Tank?
